So, we've cooked a few meals now, and it turns out that our lovely avocado stove isn't quite as bad as we expected (or maybe hoped – now we'll end up hanging on to it for longer than we should). I've made a couple stir-frys, we've made some pasta sauce and chili, and it was all good. This past weekend I made a bitchin' apple crisp - the first apple treat of autumn, and lots more to come. Tomorrow I'll start the prep work for a batch of anadama bread. That will be the ultimate test of the oven.
