Shallots, Garlic and Pear/Plum Tomato Pasta

Early last week, I made this for dinner:

  • 2 or 3 shallots, minced
  • 4 or 5 garlic cloves, chopped chunky
  • 2 pints tomatoes - one pint of Yellow Pear and another pint of small red ones, probably Super 100 or something like that.
  • olive oil

  • i sauteed the shallots and garlic in the olive oil with salt and pepper, until the garlic was nicely browned. then i tossed the tomatoes into the pan and cooked them for just a few minutes. i didn't want them to get mushy or split open more than a little, but i wanted them to be warm and juicy.

This and some pasta was damn tasty!!
